FUTURE BRIEF POLL RESULTS - 2005 and 2006

The following are the results of polls done in cooperation with Zogby International, one of America's leading opinion research firms, in late 2005 and early 2006. Drawing upon questions submitted by Future Brief subscribers, Zogby implemented surveys of the American public on these topics, the first six of more than 2,000 people each and the last six of 13,400 people each.

Question 6: If a deadly pandemic flu reaches the US and there is not nearly enough vaccine for everybody, who do you think should receive priority for vaccinations?

Question 7: How worried are you about the government’s ability to intercept your phone conversations and emails?

Question 8: Do you feel more secure or less secure knowing the government has the ability to intercept phone conversations and emails?

Question 9: Which of the following do you consider to be the most inconvenient aspect of using technology in your day-to-day life?

Question 10: Which of the following would you most like to see accomplished through the development of emerging technologies?

Question 11: Which of the following countries or groups do you believe poses the greatest nuclear threat to the United States?

Question 12: Which are you more worried about - the threat of terrorists attacking the United States, or losing personal privacy in an effort to prevent a terrorist attack?
